Ari Marcopoulos biography
New York based artist Ari Marcopoulos uses photography, video, and film as his medium.
Marcopoulos has published over 200 of books and zines. His work is in the collection of SFMOMA, Whitney Museum of American Art, FRAC, Fotomuseum Winterthur. He collaborated with Jay-Z on the cover of Magna Carta Holy Grail. His photos have appeared in the NY Times, Arena Homme Plus, Vogue, Dazed and Confused, Hero and many more publications.
Rizzoli published his monograph “Not Yet” in 2016. In the same year Roma Publications published his book “Rome-Malibu”. In 2017 Idea Books will publish a new edition of his first book “Portraits From The Studio And The Street”.
For the Jeep® brand & Juventus football team he realized a photo-reportage that celebrates the passion for challenges that ties the “two Js” and captures the real emotions of the Juventus players in a different field than their usual one, an urban context.
